Fetal and neonatal hypoxia

Fetal and neonatal hypoxia is viewed as one of the major causes of the developmental disturbances of the brain. Shortterm intranatal hypoxia and its difference from antenatal fetal hypoxia are also considered. The combination of ante- and intranatal hypoxia worsens the prognosis considerably. The problem of fetal and neonatal hypoxia requires further profound study of the mechanisms of its development and the peculiarities of the regulation of fetal hemodynamics.
