    Summary

    This study found higher immunoglobulin A (IgA) levels in diabetic patients compared to IgG and IgM. Elevated IgA was particularly noted in older diabetics and those with kidney complications.

    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate serum immunoglobulin G (IgG), A (IgA), and M (IgM) levels in diabetic patients.
    • To compare immunoglobulin levels between insulin-dependent and non-insulin-dependent diabetes.
    • To identify correlations between immunoglobulin levels and clinical factors like age and renal complications.
