    Summary

    This study found that using the EEA suture gun for esophagojejunostomies resulted in a significantly lower suture insufficiency rate (3.5%) compared to literature averages (12.6%). Special techniques respecting local anatomy likely explain this improved outcome in mechanical esophagojejunostomies.
