Abstract:
Alcoholic rhabdomyolysis is only considered to be such a rare disease, because it is often not thought of. When increasing CPK and creatinine levels are found a muscle biopsy should be taken despite a sometimes not typical anamnesis. This is illustrated by the presentation of a case report. Early diagnosis and therapy should make it possible to lower the mortality rate of this disease.
