    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To compare fentanyl pharmacokinetics in younger (<50 years) versus older (>60 years) adult patients.
    • To investigate the impact of age on fentanyl serum concentrations, elimination half-life, and clearance.

    • Two groups of adult patients received an equivalent intravenous dose of fentanyl (10 microgram/kg).
