[Pacemaker therapy in bradycardial heart rhythm disorders]

A description of the various pacemaker models with their functional unit is presented. The indication for permanent implantation is discussed in view of the different disturbances in cardiac rhythm. The main indication for pacemaker therapy is the permanent or intermittent bradycardial rhythm disturbance accompanied by syncope or severe dizziness.
