Abstract:
Multiple renal calculi in a woman who had undergone 3 previous nephrolithotomies on the ipsilateral kidney were destroyed percutaneously with a Mauermeyer stone punch after the nephrostomy tract had been dilated to 34F by a single-step technique. This stone removal technique is fast and safe, and requires only local anesthesia. It can be regarded as another tool for the endourological management of stones.
