[Dilemmas in primary and delayed neuroraphy]
Acta Chirurgica Iugoslavica
|January 1, 1982
Abstract:
Authors present their experience with treatment of peripheral nerves. They have operated 190 patients. In 95 cases they have applied the so-called plasma stitch. In cases where was not infection of the wound, authors performed primary neurout. In cases where the wound was infected, the neuroraphy was postponed while the infection was healed. In every case where there there was lesion of other structures-blood vessels, muscles or the bones, reoperation of these tissues had to be done before neuroraphy was eventually performed. Results were satisfactory in all cases with primary or delayed neuro out.
