[Tuberculosis in the Division of General Medicine: 5 years' experience]

Tuberculosis, yet rare a disease in Acute Medical Units, has to be kept in mind in the medical practice. The Authors reviewed almost five years' experience in an Acute Medical Unit and summarized the clinical aspects of the patients observed. They also highlighted the importance of the history of tbc and predisposing conditions. The usefullness of some investigations in the diagnosis of the disease has been stressed and time from presentation to diagnosis has been evaluated for every patient.
