[Diagnostic evaluation of the cancer patient: fundamental objectives and bases for its elaboration]

The authors describe cancer diseases as a reaction of the body to the tumor cells and mention the main traits of cancer evolution in relation to etiology, pathogenesis, pathology, semiology, pathocronia and prognosis. They indicate the fundamental data which are necessary for cancer diagnosis.
