Labels, systems and motives: some perspectives for future research and programs
Abstract:
Future research in children's health behavior, and its potential implications for health education programs, are discussed in terms of (1) the effects of labels and definitions, (2) the relevance of systemic approaches, and (3) the need for determining health-relevant motives. A working definition of "health behavior" as an area of basic, interdisciplinary research is established, in contrast to the definition of behavioral medicine.
