Abstract:
Cis- and Trans- dichlorodiammineplatinum (II) inhibit the development of the sea urchin eggs. The inhibition is prevented by N-acetylcysteine, glutathione and alpha-mercaptopropionylglycine. Sulfhydril groups appear as a cellular target for these platinum compounds.
