[Hormonal induction of lactation after short-term treatment in sheep. III]

In 8 nonpregnant, nonlactating sheep the milk secretion was hormone-induced injecting: day 1 estradiol (2 mg), day 2 progesterone (10 mg, days 3 to 8 progesterone (10 mg) and estradiol (1-2 mg), days 9 to 12 estradiol (0,1 mg) and reserpine (1 mg). The estradiol-reserpine were given few more days to 3 sheep. The animals were machine-milked. In a 127 period the yeld was 41,9 - 130,5 liters. The protein and fat content was normal. The least milk production was economically adequate.
