Our data show that it possible to reduce the maternal morbidity - mainly by reduction of the severe complications following caesarean sections. The higher maternal risk during and after operative delivery (forceps, caesarean section) should prompt the physician to analyse the indication and frequency of operative interventions within certain periods of time.
