    Background:

    • 2-ethoxyethanol is a widely used industrial solvent with applications in lacquers, dyes, and varnish removers.
    • Occupational exposure standards exist, but the developmental toxicity of 2-ethoxyethanol requires further investigation.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the functional effects of prenatal 2-ethoxyethanol exposure on rat offspring.
    • To assess behavioral and neurochemical alterations following gestational exposure.

    Main Methods:

    • Pregnant Sprague-Dawley rats were exposed to 100 ppm 2-ethoxyethanol for 7 hours/day during specific gestation periods (days 7-13 or 14-20).
