    Summary

    Alpha-chlorohydrin exposure in rats did not affect phospholipids in the testis or initial epididymis segments. However, it significantly decreased phospholipids in the cauda epididymis and vas deferens.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the impact of alpha-chlorohydrin on phospholipid composition in specific regions of the male rat reproductive tract.

    • Rats were administered alpha-chlorohydrin (6.5 mg/kg) for 14 days.
    • Phospholipid levels and p32 incorporation were analyzed in testis, caput, corpus, and cauda epididymis, as well as the vas deferens.
