[Cutaneous angiosarcomas in the head and neck region (author's transl)]
Abstract:
Angiosarcoma of the skin develops predominantly in the face and scalp of elderly patients. One patient is described who had a cutaneous angiosarcoma of the nose. There has been no recurrence since the tumor was removed four years ago. 136 cases reported in the literature are reviewed. The biological behaviour of the tumors depends mainly on its location. Surgery performed over a wide area is the form of treatment advised, but postoperative irradiation of the regional lymph system is also recommended.
