    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the relationship between thyroid hormone status and somatomedin activity.
    • To explore somatomedins' potential role in thyroid hormone-mediated effects on epiphyseal cartilage.

    • Somatomedin activity was measured using 35S incorporation in embryonic chick cartilage.
