[Bowenoid papulosis of the genitals (author's transl)]
Abstract:
Clinical report, histology and course of bowenoid papulosis of the genitals in 17 patients. Numerous papules are found on the external genitals of both sexes. There is a predominance of young adult males. The discrepancy between Bowen's disease-like histology and the patient age, as well as obvious benign course is noticeable. As a result of the benign course and age of patients and the distinct histological characteristics, it therefore appears correct to consider bowenoid papules of the genitals as an atypical morphological variation of condylomata acuminata. In any case an examination of the partners is indicated to discover possible "contact-infections".
