    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To identify and characterize cholesterol crystals in synovial fluid from patients with knee osteoarthritis.

    • Synovial fluid samples were collected from four patients with knee osteoarthritis and recurrent effusions.
    • Crystals were analyzed using light microscopy for morphology and size.
