    Background:

    • Giant cell arteritis (GCA) is a systemic vasculitis primarily affecting large and medium arteries.
    • Diagnosis typically relies on clinical symptoms and large artery biopsy, often of the temporal artery.
    • The involvement of bone marrow vasculature in GCA is not well-established.

    Observation:

    • A case of GCA is presented where the diagnosis was incidentally made through a bone marrow biopsy.
    • Histopathological examination revealed characteristic features of arteritis within the bone marrow vasculature.
    • These features included intimal thickening, fibrinoid necrosis, internal elastic lamina destruction, and multinucleated giant cells.
