Rapidly growing carcinoma of the colon

Carcinoma of the colon is usually considered a slow growing neoplasm. Three case reports are presented demonstrating growth rapid by previous standards, stimulating a reassessment of the literature. The present data suggests tha rapidly growing colonic cancers may not be unusual and this might ultimately be reflected in changing currently accepted screening practices.
