    Summary

    Reactive arthritis can develop after Campylobacter fetus ss. jejuni infection. This study found 2.3% of patients developed arthritis, often linked to the HLA-B27 antigen.

    Background:

    • Campylobacter fetus ss. jejuni is a known cause of bacterial infections.
    • Reactive arthritis is a form of joint inflammation that can occur after an infection elsewhere in the body.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the occurrence and characteristics of arthritis in patients with Campylobacter fetus ss. jejuni infection.
    • To explore the potential link between Campylobacter fetus ss. jejuni infection and reactive arthritis.

    • Retrospective analysis of 342 patients diagnosed with Campylobacter fetus ss. jejuni infection.
