[The effect of agglutinating and immobilizing antibodies on sperm transport in cervical mucus]
Abstract:
Antibodies against spermatozoids can prevent the passage of of spermatozoids through the cervical mucus in the in vitro penetration test. Statistically significant negative correlations were observed between spermoagglutinizing antibodies, spermoimmobilizing antibodies, and the penetration capacity of spermatozoids through the cervical mucus, which means that the spermoimmobilizing activities of the agglutinizing serum might have been responsible for the diminished penetration of spermatozoids.
