    A new two-dimensional echocardiography (2-D echo) method accurately determines left ventricular ejection fraction (EF) without computer assistance. This simple technique is effective even in patients with left ventricular dyssynergy.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To develop and validate a novel, simplified method for calculating left ventricular (LV) ejection fraction (EF) using wide-angle, two-dimensional echocardiography (2-D echo).
    • To assess the accuracy of this new 2-D echo method compared to established techniques like gated cardiac blood pool imaging and cineangiography.
    • To evaluate the method's efficacy in patients with and without left ventricular dyssynergy, particularly assessing its ability to detect abnormal apical wall motion.
