Schizophrenia patients exhibit more smooth pursuit eye movement (SPEM) impairments, specifically velocity arrests, compared to controls. While auditory-visual distraction had minimal impact, dichotic listening worsened SPEM in both groups, particularly in schizophrenic patients.
