Premalignant lesions of the periampullary region. Report of two cases
Abstract:
Two patients with adenomatous lesions of the periampullary region of the duodenum are presented. In one patient the tumour was located in the most distal part of the common bile duct. The other patient had a tumour originating in the mucosa of the papilla of Vater and extending into the distal part of the common bile duct. The diagnostic and therapeutic problems with these lesions are discussed with respect to their precancerous nature.
