    For calcified renal masses, computed tomography (CT) can help determine if angiography is useful. Angiography is most informative for masses that show contrast enhancement on CT scans.

    • Five patients with calcified renal masses underwent evaluation using both angiography and postcontrast CT.
    • CT scans were analyzed for contrast enhancement patterns.
    • Angiography was performed to assess vascularity.

    Findings:

    • Four out of five patients showed no contrast enhancement on CT scans.
    • These non-enhancing lesions corresponded to avascular hypernephromas (three cases) and a renal cyst (one case) on angiography.
