[Morphological evaluation of the quality of early cattle embryos]
Abstract:
Morphological qualitative assessing of 391 ova and early embryos obtained from cows and heifers has been performed after gonadotropin stimulated polyovulation. Unfertilized ova make 30%. Results of embryo transplantation to a recipient, beginning from 5-day-old up to 9 day-old embryos are identical. Certain irregularity in blastomere cleavage, appearance of inflations and vesicles on their surface do not affect implantation of the embryos. Compressing and compactness of the embryonic body often coincide with its inability to implant in the recipient's uterus.
