Abstract:
A clinical isolate of Staphylococcus aureus resistant to gentamicin, kanamycin and 3',4'-dideoxykanamycin B contained two enzymes capable of inactivating gentamicin, i.e., an aminoglycoside 2''-phosphotransferase and aminoglycoside acetyltransferase.
