[Precardiac mapping method in assessing the severity of acute myocardial infarct]
Kardiologiia
|December 1, 1981
Abstract:
The serial precardial mapping was carried out in the patients with acute anterior myocardial infarction. The changes in the total R and Q wave amplitudes, total ST segment elevation, total QRS complex area and total QS complex number were evaluated. The mean rate of the decrease of total R and Q wave amplitudes and ST segment were significantly higher in the fatal cases, than in the survived patients. The role of the comprehensive assessment of the patient's age, the number of sustained myocardial infarctions and the mass of necrosis in the prognosis of the disease outcome is demonstrated.
