[Biochemistry of varicose veins]

My lecture is supposed to be an introduction to discussion and also an introduction to programme dealing with the immunological problems of venous diseases and especially of primary varicose veins. Many of the metabolic products of damaged venous wall demonstrated in the blood of patients with primary varicose veins could provoke the formation of corresponding antibodies (Buchala and Laszt, 1975).
