Abstract:
An atomic absorption spectrophotometric method was developed for the determination of titanium in a sunscreen formulation containing iron oxides and a complex organic base. Matrix matching between the samples and the standard was essential. A recovery study was conducted using a placebo base. Standard absorbance-concentration curves were linear in the 0-120-ppm range.
