Sperm head surface area as an individual characteristic of a donor's sperm

The mean surface area of the head of fixed and stained spermatozoa from 12 healthy, young donors was measured on 3 occasions separated by 8-day intervals. The mean area varied appreciably between individuals, and considerably less between samples from the same donor.
