    Summary

    Two young boys with rare axillary leiomyomas experienced unusual "mulberry" calcifications. Surgical excision led to no recurrence of these benign smooth-muscle tumors.

    Background:

    • Leiomyomas are benign smooth-muscle tumors typically found in adults.
    • Pediatric leiomyomas are rare, and calcification within them is even more uncommon.

    Observation:

    • Two pediatric cases presented with large axillary leiomyomas.
    • The leiomyomas exhibited distinct "mulberry" calcifications, a pattern previously described in uterine leiomyomas.

    Findings:

    • Histopathological examination confirmed leiomyomas with significant calcification.
    • Complete surgical removal of the axillary lesions was performed.
    • No evidence of tumor recurrence was observed post-surgery.

    Implications:

    • This report highlights the possibility of leiomyoma calcification in pediatric patients.
    • The findings suggest that "mulberry" calcification may be a characteristic feature in certain pediatric leiomyomas.
    • Successful surgical management indicates a favorable prognosis for these rare pediatric tumors.
