Treatment of ischemic ulcers of the lower extremities

A total of 102 cases of ischemic ulcers, some with superficial gangrene and infection, were treated in a conservative manner, including debridement when indicated. Results with the outline of care described were very encouraging, with a limb salvage rate of over 90%. It should be stressed that diligent observation and care of the patient being treated is essential.
