    Summary

    Immune complexes were found in 40% of rheumatoid arthritis patient samples. Further analysis revealed these complexes were often formed by heterophile, Hanganutziu-Deicher antigen or human IgG.

    Background:

    • Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease characterized by chronic inflammation.
    • Immune complexes are implicated in the pathogenesis of RA.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To detect immune complexes in sera and synovial fluids of rheumatoid arthritis patients.
