    Summary

    Bilateral adrenal neuroblastoma, a rare condition, was observed to occur simultaneously in both adrenal glands. This suggests a potential multicentric origin for this rare pediatric cancer.

    Background:

    • Bilateral adrenal neuroblastoma is exceptionally rare.
    • Previously, such cases were often attributed to metastatic spread rather than primary, simultaneous tumors.

    Observation:

    • A patient presented with two synchronous, separate, and equally sized neoplasms in both adrenal glands.
    • Morphological and ultrastructural analyses confirmed both neoplasms as neuroblastoma.

    Findings:

    • The observed bilateral adrenal neuroblastoma is highly unusual.
    • The findings suggest a simultaneous primary occurrence, challenging the metastatic spread hypothesis.

    Implications:

    • This case supports the theory of a multicentric origin for adrenal neuroblastoma.
    • Further research into the developmental pathways of neuroblastoma is warranted.
