    Background:

    • Idiopathic guttate hypomelanosis (IGH) is characterized by small, depigmented macules.
    • The precise cellular mechanisms underlying IGH remain incompletely understood.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the histochemical and ultrastructural features of melanocytes in idiopathic guttate hypomelanosis.
    • To elucidate the cellular processes contributing to depigmentation in IGH.

    • Histochemical analysis using split-dopa staining.
    • Ultrastructural examination of affected and normal skin.
    • Argentic stains for melanin content assessment.
