    Summary

    Sodium azide (0.1-0.2%) inhibits complement-mediated cell lysis and opsonization in vitro. This effect is specific to the early classical complement pathway, not due to general toxicity.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the effect of sodium azide on complement-mediated cell lysis and opsonization.
