[Delayed hypersensitivity in patients with craniocerebral injuries]

Results of examining the reaction of lymphocyte blast transformation to phytohemagglutinin, brain and cerebrospinal fluid antigens in 160, and of the intracutaneous test with phytohemagglutinin in 150 patients with craniocerebral injuries are presented. After the phytohemagglutinin stimulation the nonspecific delayed hypersensitivity in the patients was found to be lowered, while the specific one (induced by the brain or cerebrospinal fluid antigens) increased. These changes depended mainly on the severity of brain injury and time of examination.
