The bicondylo-patellar angle as a measure of patellar tilting
Abstract:
The patellar tilting was never studied quantitatively. The author proposes the angle formed by the transverse axis of the patella and the tangent of the two condyles drawn on an axial X-ray picture of the knee (Bicondylo-Patellar Angle) as its measure and shows that in series of 24 normal knees the patella decreases its tilting from full extension to 90 degrees of flexion.
