    Background:

    • Colonic endometriosis is a rare condition where endometrial tissue implants in the colon.
    • It can lead to significant gastrointestinal symptoms, including obstruction.

    Observation:

    • This study details 6 cases of colonic endometriosis treated surgically.
    • Patients were middle-aged (average 50 years) with concomitant genital endometriosis.
    • Most patients had prior pregnancies.

    Findings:

    • Pathological findings included intramural colonic growth causing stenosis and tumor-like endometriomas.
    • Surgical procedures varied: sigmoid resection (3), ileocecal resection (1), anterior resection (1).
    • Enucleation was successful in one case of stenosis.

    • Postoperative vigilance is necessary, as one patient developed rectal carcinoma mistaken for endometriosis recurrence.
