[Histology of atypical localized cutaneous erythematosus]

Clinical and histological dates are presented from a study of a group of 32 patients with chronic cutaneous lupus erythematosus. All patients had wide-spread DLE as defined by the presence of lesions above and below the neck, on the upper and lower extremities. Cutaneous punch biopsies showed a great variability of the histological picture. The resulting aspects of histological differential diagnosis are discussed.
