Standardization and regulatory control of allergen extracts

Many or most allergen extracts available for clinical use are unacceptable for use in human medicine. Informed physicians refrain from using them in hyposensitization. We demand that regulations and control as to quality and standardization be enforced by the appropriate authorities without further delay. We have to compromise with the ideal to satisfy minimal requirements. Recommendations are presented.
