[Surgical treatment of lung abnormalities]

Four cases of lung malformations are presented. In this cases symptoms, diagnostic procedures, indications for operation and surgical treatment are discussed. Agenesis and aplasia of lungs do not require surgical treatment. Hypoplasia of the lung, an accessory lung and sequestrations leading to purulent-recurrent infections can be treated by resections.
