    Summary

This study presents four cases of bone metastases from gynecological cancers (endometrium, cervix, ovary, vulva). It reviews tumor spread and the incidence of bone metastases in these malignancies.

    Area of Science:

    • Gynecologic Oncology
    • Skeletal Metastasis Research
    • Cancer Pathology

    Background:

    • Gynecologic malignancies are a significant cause of cancer-related morbidity.
    • Bone metastases are a known complication of advanced cancers, impacting patient prognosis and quality of life.
    • Understanding the patterns of spread is crucial for early diagnosis and management.

    Observation:

    • Four cases of ante mortem diagnosis of bone metastases were identified.
    • The primary tumors originated from the endometrium, cervix, ovary, and vulva.
    • Patients presented with varying stages and presentations of metastatic disease.

    Findings:

    • The study details the routes of spread for these gynecologic tumors to bone.
    • It provides a review of the incidence of bone metastases in gynecological malignancies.
    • Specific patterns of skeletal involvement were observed in the presented cases.

    Implications:

    • Enhanced awareness of bone metastasis risk in gynecologic cancer patients.
    • Potential for improved diagnostic strategies and earlier detection of skeletal involvement.
    • Informs clinical management and palliative care approaches for advanced gynecologic cancers.
