Abstract:
During a period of 10 years (1968 to 1978) 320 patients underwent surgical treatment for gastric cancer, inclusive 20 patients after partial gastrectomies (B II) for gastric or duodenal ulcer. Gross survival time comes up to 9,8 months. Only the early detection of the carcinoma by gastroscopy will give the patient a better chance for survival. -- Aspects of the pathogenesis were evaluated (bile reflux, anacidity). In cases of gastric or duodenal ulcers partial gastrectomies of the B II-type should be omitted at least enterostomy of the Braun-type should be added.
