[Features of the epileptic syndrome in supratentorially located oligodendrogliomas]

On the basis of a study of 84 verified cases of supratentorial oligodendrogliomas of extraventricular localization, the traits of the epileptic syndrome were studied. Among the spectal traits found more frequently, compared to those of other tumors, is the frequency of the epileptic syndromes, predominance of generalized attacks in the early stages of the disease, a number of viscerovegetative signs in the structure of the epileptic syndrome. The special traits of the epileptic syndrome in oligodendrogliomas are related to the character and direction of the growth of the tumours.
