    Area of Science:

    • Plastic Surgery
    • Biomaterials Science

    Background:

    • Polyamide mesh has been utilized in facial plastic surgery for approximately ten years.
    • Its application includes augmentation rhinoplasty and mentoplasty, particularly for saddle-nose deformities.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the efficacy of polyamide mesh as a filler material in facial plastic surgery.
    • To compare its outcomes with other alloplastic implant materials and autogenous grafts.

    Main Methods:

    • A series of 130 patients undergoing facial plastic surgery procedures.
    • Utilized polyamide mesh for augmentation rhinoplasty and mentoplasty.

    Main Results:

    • Extremely good results were observed in the series of 130 patients.
    • Outcomes with polyamide mesh were considered superior to other alloplastic materials and autogenous grafts.

    Conclusions:

    • Polyamide mesh is a highly effective filler material in facial plastic surgery.
    • It demonstrates superior outcomes in augmentation rhinoplasty and mentoplasty compared to existing alternatives.
